Sometimes a poem requires reposting.

This was written for Valentine’s Day and was published in Volume 3 “Finding Love.”

It remains one of my favorites.

Love awakens me
Holds me while I sleep
Nourishes my days
And eases my soul

It renews my life
Encourages my dreams
Protects me from harm
And lightens my load
My laughs are heartier
My tears deeper
My touch gentler
My mind clearer

I don’t need this day
To understand its wonder
Embrace its beauty
Or gift its presence

But I’m glad it reminds me
Of the magic that is possible
When hearts connect
And roses bloom
