It’s 2017
And I’m writing once more
Pledged to learn
How to live again

I learned to love
And spent 6 years doing so
As I will again
In the new life I am building

Wounds have healed
Though scars remain
As I joyously emerge
From my dark passages

Ready again
To explore and grow
With new challenges ahead
And more battles to be won
