I’m trying to make sense
Of the senselessness
And of course
I can’t

A beautiful young soul
Is gone
And my grief
Is overwhelming

I need to get past the anger
At those who could have been there
To stop the tragedy
That was clearly preventable

But I will be left with the memory
Of one who touched me deeply
And allowed me to help
When help is what she needed

And I will be left with the memory
Of a kind and loving woman
Who loved her life
And all who embraced her

And I will be left with the memory
Of one who asked for nothing
While giving of herself selflessly
To friends and family

I will be left also with the memory
Of one who departed far too soon
But now reminds us all
Of life’s uncertainty and fragility

Rest in peace sweet Garron
You touched so many
And left us searching for answers
But perhaps you have a greater calling
